    Well scallops are my favorite shellfish and I can tell you in my opinion, they are on two very different levels. Lol.

    But to all those who like sting ray meat, please take as many as you want and have a feast. Those things are really annoying. They steal my bait and fight like a wet plastic bag hahahaha.

    There was a Japanese restaurant years ago in LA that was busted for serving scallops that were actually rounds cut from Sting Ray's.

    Those Mullet make great bait. The secret to snagging them is to file the barbs off a 2/0 treble hook. Make them needle sharp. I use a spinning reel and 12 lb. test. Cast a head of them and slam that hook right into them. They have tough skin and flesh that won’t fall off the hook. Cut into sardine size meaty strips and hold on. Cheap and those Mullet are tough fighters in their own right.

    I would fillet and then use the leftovers for bait/chum. Very versatile fish in the pan, can always leave a little meat on the skin all the way down....
