I've notice people who fish at the surf that like using stick bait either use savages or LC 110. However the LC 110 cost as much as an arm, so about 20 or 21 dollars, but if you look hard enough you can save a dollar or two. So those who are die hard LC users just keep look'n you'll find it. Also here's some surf fish I caught at Carlsbad ( Shimano 2500 Sedona with 10 LBS fluorocarbon with a Shimano Med/ Heavy action 7' Clarus, rigged with 2' liter and a 1 ounce egg weight using Berkeley sand worms I know its a bit heavy however it work) here are some fish that I caught.

P.S. im not telling where you can find these prices, and I know the LC 110 can go as much as 25 bucks.

Squidco. They don’t have a lot of light surf gear but prices can’t be beat. Worth the drive.
Share where to save, not your “secret spot”.

If you told Joey at Squidco you found a better price from another “store in San Diego” he’s match or beat it.......

    Try it.

Squidco is on my list when I eventually make it down to Seaforth to pick up a reel they ordered in. LC 110s go for $30 at some of the shops up here in north county...

Since it refreshed my mind about getting these (my battle 4000 combo came in) I checked ebay. You can get most of the colors as well for 17.99 and a good amount of them ship for free. Just wait for that good ebay coupon and boom. Right now it is $5 off $25.

Way to reward a business owner for offering low prices, by not spreading the word!?!? Fortunately your secret spot for tackle isn’t secret at all. Joey is a rare guy. He always would offer me a bottle of water when I walked in. Hey, I think they do that at Ferrari dealerships too!! Not a coincidence, he values his customers in the age of the internet superstores.

Yeah. I usually have to wait until I get a list of things I want in order to make a trip down to the bay. Otherwise, the couple bucks here and there I save doesn't even cover the gas and time. /sigh Still fun though.

Bragging about finding but not sharing the name of a well known locally owned store that sells crankbaits that you almost never need to replace (and that they always have a ton of in stock) at a slight discount over online or other retailers ranks among the strangest things I've seen on this site in 20+ years
