Back in the day it was "High n' Tight" or as in you got a haircut once a week even if you didn't think you needed one but the First Sgt did. Well just read that along with the army and the air farce (well what do you expect from them !) the US of MC (Semper Fi) is looking to change their grooming standards on hair and even in regard to tat's (Globe and Anchor, "MOM", "Death Before Dishonor" or the lengthy "Kill a Commie for Mommie" might make a come back) The only things that had to die a natural death was OD "Starchies," brass belt buckles, black leather combat boots that you had to spit shine and the "wedding cake" cover with greens. Now what's next "high water trou" ? :emoji_anguished:

    DAMN...
Reminds me of a time a few brainiacs decided to mop and glo their combat boots for inspection. Female Gunny didn't receive that too well and we ended up in a hasty boots and utes run up the nearest sugar hill at 29 Palms.

Our motivation of course, was to not be the last one who rolled down the hill after making it to the top.
Ah, the good ol' days - running in ankle deep desert powder in your inspection gear in September...

Last I read, The Corps' grooming standards were to be 'temporarily relaxed' due to Cov-19; did they make them permanent ?

What is this relaxed grooming standards you speak of? "Back in the day" us FMF Corpsmen never had any grooming standards (we paid no attention to regs). 1stSGT nor Gunny held no power in our BAS.
