Wonder if those other fish are biting up there? Best of luck in any case

 

I went up to Issy last weekend.
Crappie are staging around the trees and should make that transition to the bank's with a week or 2 of warmer weather.
Main problem is the water is super low, and they're working on the dam.
They were pounding something into the ground.
I could hear and feel the pounding clear on the other side of the lake near camp 9.
Seemed like people with minnows was getting a few.
I finally figured out a pattern around 12:30 (jigs had to be 1/32 and moved very slow)
Hopped around the trees and would get 2 or 3 per tree then the afternoon wind hit hard around 2:30 and couldn't work the slow pattern.
I had several big crappie chase my jig right to the surface then dart away at the last second.
Females full of eggs so any day now.
On the way back down the river I caught around 20 smallmouth in the pools down at the bottom of the winding road.
