Hit the water by 5am water looked amazing! Big holes everywhere but no bites on the lucky craft for the first two hours. Switched to sand crabs and no bites for another hour. Was about to call it but hung it out and boy glad i did. I was working a decent hole when I noticed a big silver silhouette. Tossed it in its general area two feet away and I hooked it. Goes everywhere and then pops off right when I catch a kelp. That was the fish! Worked for another 30 and no bites but I noticed it came back! Took my small meatball but doesn’t stick. Threw out a big sand crab and it’s on! What a fight! Thought this looked big in the bottom but this looked bigger up close! Landed and taped out to 24inches at the tip of the tail! Wanted to release it so didn’t take too many pics. After that stuck 2 more corbs ten ft away. A 19 and a 20. Called it quotes by 930. Currently not my pb but I’ll take that 24 any day! Cpred everything. Spotfins activities seem to died down or they got pretty much harvested because I didn’t see one today from anyone. I did leave a little earlier than yesterday. Landed 4 spots(all between 19-22 inches) between me and my uncle but that was around 9 so maybe I just left before the bite turned on today.

    Word to the wise...

You're probably not going to get much info when your first post on this board is asking for a location from someone who had a good day on the water. Typically, if a poster is going to give up his or her spot, they will include it in the report or title. The beaches have been getting hit hard by a ton of anglers lately, and sometimes, people don't want to give up a spot that's producing. Especially if they don't know who it is that's asking (I'm assuming you and the OP don't know each other).

The best way to get intel is to post reports and interact with others on the board to establish relationships. Once people learn about you and your practices, it can open doors to getting invites or people sharing info on spots or tactics. If all else fails, you're better off sending a request for a location via a PM so it's not on the public forum.

Put in some time (on the water and on the forum) and people will feel comfortable with you. There are a ton of talented and generous people on this board who have a lot of wisdom to share.

    Okay, rant over...

TreeCatcher, sorry about the mini thread jack...keep slaying 'em. I always love your reports and appreciate your skills.

Lol all good. It’s funny because that’s my uncle trolling me -_- thanks for the back up though. I forgot who posted this on my 27 inch halibut post but this is funny “you never ask another man about where his butt hole is at.” >.< well something like that. Lol
