Went with the kiddo for an off-season session to poke at some water I had never been to, and see if there were any carp on top yet. Saw some babies feeding in the surface debris, nothing of any real size yet I saw, carp wise. Catfish, again, were feeding hardest the first couple hours after dark, got damn chilly this morning too, no surprise about the feeding window. Did get two of my five keepers in the middle of the night too , including one smaller one lb job I gut hooked, however. I did keep a couple smaller than I prefer that I gut hooked (as usual), and I threw back a couple I could have kept (as usual). Caught a bonus bluegill too (gut hooked, lol) and a couple tiny bass as well.. all in all, not bad for winter.. think I caught 9 Keeper size, if you include one big one I shook off (discount the smaller two in the cooler shot), including the released ones, and probably around 20 little guys, including the two micro largemouth (yeah, you think Murray has dinks, VinnyBass ? Hahahaha) and the bluegill. No big carp to test my new hooks on that I could find... It is a bit early though. Sorry to anyone who has been wanting to go with me, was a last minute decision to make the run, didn't really make up my mind until about 2 o clock yesterday, and didn't jam anyone up. Nice time with the kid even though we froze for a couple hours this morning... Hahaha

Edit, bonus pic of the Mt Signal Cafe for tsugg , lol
