Hit Yuma area with the wife and mini for a couple days. Pretty much a bust on the cats AZ wise.. Caught a few bass on the buzzbait (a first for me?), yep, I was so bored I was throwing lures. Didnt really have the time to pattern some panfish or cats.. Maybe a couple hours of fishing time the first two days, mostly driving around looking at water (Mittry was beautiful, backwater 33 was too).. On the way back, I SIGHT FISHED a half dozen cats out of some VERY shallow lateral canal areas (extremely unusual for me). Kept one smb I bounced off the concrete at the AAC, and one lmb that went for a test flight over my head. Interesting thing.. Fished dead shiners from ECBT for the cats the first two days and did not get even one over a lb. Switched to carp strips in the IV after awhile and laid a beatdown in short order.. Coincidence?

Awesome times dude!! Coach Werf at it again!!

When I tried the shiners they weren't lights out either, surprisingly.... shrimp was better.... more/less tied with carp....

When it's warm enough, the one to six shift can pay hard on earnings on the 100+ fish days out there

Nice you picked a great spot for that buzzbait in the heat (2nd to last pic) overhanging palms, undercut banks and my favorite type of structure. Looks like your favorite type of structure is there as well unless those bubbles are from your buzzbait. I hope you weren't bored enough to try that assassin technique i showed you at the owens as well lmao A boring day for you would be some anglers best day ever, Nice haul!

Took a page from you a couple times on that day.. Wife was jacking around with my bait rod.. Got so frustrated, I hunted through the tackle box. Bought two spinnerbaits and two buzzbaits at y'all mart the day before for 1$ each, some A rigs on the clearance rack as well.. Might have thrown the A rig instead if I was confident on what to put on the thing, lol..
