Hello, I need to know , are any lakes operation less than they did starting in the spring when they reopened?
I know some close due to normal seasonal operation , like Barrett , but I am looking for new unusual limitations not normal schedules.

Have any lakes closed more since this fall back to purple recently? Any new restrictions or cut hours on the horizon that anyone knows of?

    Thanks

Dont think so, just seasonal closings.
Maybe Jennings, they had weird hours when they reopened, but it mite be in part the new dock going in.

You are right. I think Jennings and Santee were trying to keep day users and campers apart for a while and that affected some hours. . Not sure if they continued that. I'll look into that.

Lots of trout openers and derbies going on. Good to see fishing not hindered.

Can you please explain the reduced schedule. I looks like the Friday night fishing were special events for a few weeks. That's what the website says, but I am not sure how that usually runs.Day use and campers are separated to some degree and playground use is restricted.
Thank you , that helps a lot.

Not trying to be rude but why is it that you need to know the hours of EVERY lake and has it been affected / changed by the recent purple tier / covid.....
I apologize if im wrong but almost seems like your fishing for info. Were all sensitive here & glad to have back what we have......
Call the lake the interests you…

Well, , your post is rude, but not horribly so, The title of this thread indicates that I am looking for information, right? . There is no negative agenda for any lake.I participated a ton in getting the lakes opened last spring, and am trying to use what I can learn here to get another one opened more.

The polite thing to do would be Just leave the thread if it doesn't work for you. Thanks for your actual contribution though.

Just calling-it like I see it...
I was correct in my mindset & post just appeared to have an agenda and it does, but it's positive & youre not trolling for info for negative reasons...

The Friday night thing was great, it used to be only on new moons. Honestly, I remember a bit back, they messed up the moon phase and it was pitch black out there. Guessing there were no problems and they just started doing Friday nights.
I may be mistaken but the tackle shop closes at a specific time but you can stay on the water a couple hours after for their reduced schedule.

Google it, not sure it is on.

The Annual Dixon Lake Trout Derby is on December 6th – 8th.
Dixon Lake will be closed to fishing on December 3rd, 4th and 5th in preparation for the fishing derby. Please see the Weekly Fish Report for more information. Remember that there is a $5 entry fee charged on weekends and holidays.

The lake is open from 6:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. each day, but you must weigh in your fish at the weigh-in table no later than 4:00 p.m. (no exceptions). Prizes will be awarded for the heaviest fish each day in Youth, Adult and Senior categories, and a Grand Prize for the heaviest fish overall. We’ll also be awarding a prize to the angler that brings in the lightest fish (.5 pound last year). There will also be prizes for the first 15 tagged fish caught. These must also be brought to the weigh-in station by 4:00 p.m. each day to qualify for a prize.

Granting I know full well there is more water to fish than anyone can shake a stick at, but you must want way more folks out that-a-way with how much you push the fishery lol

The fish would be a lot bigger out there if we could get some harvest... A lot like the local lakes....
