I posted all that info on No Necks post "Has anyone caught any lunkers out of Barret." It's on the second page. She was 26" long X 22" around. My partner tried 2 or 3 different equations that he found on the net, and always came out between 11.3 and 12.3.

Thanks for sharing! Easily the biggest bass I've ever seen come out of that lake.

Hawk, long time no talk. I seen your reports last year, I haven't seen you or your brother (Mike) since high school. When are you going next? I will be there w/ KP on the 17th and 31st.

Never been a member till today! I always check the Barrett Forum first thing every morning, and found that it had been taken down, probly because of all the OM stuff. Then I saw the message about signing up to read the Barrett Forum, so I did. Figured I would share some pics w/ all the crazed Barrett fans. I think I caught that fish a couple weeks before you caught your big one. I really wanted to post pics after everyone was talking about your fish, but just didn't. Nice fish by the way

gotta love it, first Otay steps on toes at the lake, now we've got to register for the board to even be able to read Barrett reports. i've got a couple stories i could throw on the pile but why bother, at least the guy posts pics and tells ya where he got 'em. i gotta admit, i kinda like a little drama on the boards anyway, there's not always good fishin to talk about.

There is good fishing at Barrett this year. Lot's to talk about. There are a lot of people stepping on toes. Go read No Necks post about the trouble with the morning line. I like the idea of having to register to see the Barrett forum. Too many people come here and get info and contribute nothing. Even if you have a bad day out there come back and say something. What did you get fish on? What were the conditions like? What did you have for lunch besides beer? Lots to talk about.

I wish kellen would do that for all the popular forums. Go over to Bloodydecks and see how many posts you can read as a guest before it locks you out.

Post up and keep the party alive...

I have been putting off joining/posting for way too long. I'd probably still be putting it off if this forum was still open to non-members.

About that fish. Wow! That is an awesome catch. How was the fight?

My second hook ever up at Barrett was a huge bass. I got a look at her because she planched about 20 yards from the boat after ripping off line like a tuna. Line was coming off so fast that I though I better tighten the drag. When I did she broke off. There are big bass in Barrett. The one in my picture is my PB there but it is was probably about 3. I'm guessing the one that got away would have went seven or eight by the way it was taking line on a tight drag.

I hooked that fish on a C-rigged Renegade 6" electric blue worm on 12# flouro at about 545 AM in Hauser arm in about 6 feet of water in a cove near a soaked tree. It was mid August last year. I wish I was on 15 or 20 pound line because the water was really green the fish were not very picky.

I figure I owe the forum some info after all I have gotten.

    RaPoHo,

Its always fun fishing barrett and if you fish moreyou are bound to improve that PB. Now that first fish is the largest I have seen out of barrett. I had one near the same size spit the lure 5 feet from the boat 2 years ago, it was a heart breaker lol.

Dam nice fish for sure, I caught one out of Hodges that measured 26" and 22" that weighed 12-8. We took the fish to the marina and had it weighed so I am sure it is accurate. That is huge for a Northern Large mouth. Nicely done!
