Should California eliminate plastic straws after plastic bag ban. Californians voted to remove plastic bags from grocery stores, so would they be willing to eliminate plastic straws from their lives too?

That’s what many activists are hoping as the war on straws heats up. (Yes, there is a war on straws.)

Americans use 500 millions drinking straws every day.

Have you seen those new straws? they hold up the exact same but they aren't plastic. Idk what they're actually made of but seems like a straightforward easy replacement.

Let's just get rid of toilet paper while we're at it. The plastic bag ban is a huge joke . I now leave with better and thicker bags then before , and I still throw them away.

We always forget our bags when we go to the store.
Guess that we will have to bring our own straws to the restaurants next.

Yep. Polylactic acid plastic straws, compostable. Virtually Indistinguishable from normal plastic straws.

    Has cups, utensils, etc.....

Ya they're pretty nifty. I wonder what cost difference is to make them. I've seen them in a few places so I would guess they can't be that bad.

I have a blue metal straw. Hey Fisheromen, what do you use for a slurpee, or icee?

I know "real men" in the Deep South that refuse to use straws......They call them "sissy sticks!"

I don't subscribe to this train of thought as I'm just a "reel man!"

They use rolled up 20's - shouldn't be an issue.

Saw it in movies. If had $20s to use for that, I'd be buying fishing stuff.
