Since we pretty much can’t fish....
Was looking at my set up and began to appreciate each one for what they do.
That being said, what’re you’re favorite set ups (down to the line!) and why! I’ll make this forum relevant and keep this one as a favorite surf, jetty, and pier set up!
More than one for each welcomed, as it reminds me that there’s a world outside my home :emoji_joy:

For the surf, I’m digging my 10ft Fenwick paired with a penn wrath 2500, 20lb cheap braid and my 6’6 ugly stik with an Okuma Safina 35 and same line!

Jetty, I use my Stradic 4K with 30# PowerPro on a 7’6 Teramar... that’s it lol. Don’t fish the pier too often but would probably use my jetty setup

My favorite at the moment is an old school 10 ft ugly Stik paired with a Sharky III 5k size, 15 lb mono.. can toss a couple ounces a hundred yards

My main spotty slayer is a MH 7'11" Shimano Crucial and a 13fishing Inception SportZ. I mainly use Izorline Co Polymer 10# test.

Off the jetty I can't stop using my 8foot daiwa proteus with my luna 300. Loaded up 20-25 mono with a fluro leader.
Off the pier switch to my 270h—8 with a sl20sh. Clicker on the luna is useless, makes hardly any noise.

In the surf I love my G-Loomis 10'6" STR1263C paired with a Curado 100D and 8# mono. It casts a 1-ounce, 1-hook gangion far and the high tip keeps my line out of the shore break.

Off any rocks using bait I'm on an 8' MH Berkley Big Game, KastKing Centron in 4000k size with 20lb mono. Sensitive enough to feel tiny bites (first fish on the thing was a 4" spotty, one little tap that didn't feel dink spotty like at all) but strong enough to feel confident with to bounce larger fish up out of the water and not have them slam into nice sharp rock edges in the process. Anything else gets either a 7' MH or 7' M thrown at them and I hope for the best lol

This year I have decided to cast larger plugs in the surf 150 -170 size . Currently using Carolina cast Pros 10 ' , 1-4 oz surf rod that was designed for Drum / Striper fishing the east coat Calcutta 400 spooled with 17 lb Suffix Siege in tangerine color for visibility and 20 feet of 20 lb flouro carbon for a leader . The larger stick baits are 1.75 to 2.50 oz in weight , and the rod cast to just about the limits of a level wind reel . Still looking for a 400 VSB to get some extra yardage on the cast . Don't know if it is my favorite yet , but works very well . I wore the cork butt off my previous fave and rebuilt it as a backup . Tight lines . WR

In the surf, I use a 9' ugly gx2, paired with either a shimano fxb 4000 with 12# mono on rocky beaches, or a kk sharky 3 4000 with 30#braid to various leaders on sandy beach. Bays I use a 7'6 ugly inshore select medium with a safina 3500 for fishing bait, and a californian calico special 7'6 medium with a cadence cb8 for lures.

I don't fish the surf much but my main bay setup for live bait is a phenix abyss 907 with a penn fathom 15. Have it spooled with 17lb mono. Then I throw luckycrafts on a dobyns champion 805 with a curado 200e with 15lb mono.

I use a 8' uglystik and a kastking centron 3000 when fishing alone and a $25 walmart setup when fishing with friends. Looking to get new gear when I'm not broke lol.

I’m using a 7’ Shimano Sojourn MH paired with a KastKing Sharky III 5000, 30# power pro w/ 15# Trilene leader. A 6’6” Daiwa Laguna M paired with a KastKing Sharky III 3000, same line setup. Round it all out with a 7’ Daiwa Crossfire MH w/ a Shimano SLX XT, same line setup. I don’t have a specific rod for a specific purpose. Whether it’s shore pounding or on the kayak, they’re built to go anywhere.

For the bay I have a old Roddy Rod from the 60s, don't know the model number but it's under 7 feet. Paired with a Penn 26 and 15# test.
I have a brand new surf rod that I bought when Sport's Authority was going out of business and I'll be pairing it with a Penn Squidder if I ever go out fishing again. LOL

I see a lot of you guys using the centron! Thoughts on it? I’m enjoying the penn wrath, another cheapie! I’d definitely recommend picking it up as a beater
