Hello again. On Friday I will staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites KSAN/Liberty until Sunday. Hoping to do a little foot patrol. It's not gonna be a designated fishing trip, so I will definitely be packing light. One MH spinning rod and a backpack of tackle. I'll be fishing by the NTC, 2 bridges, Spanish Landing, Cancer Survivors Park, and surrounding areas within a 1 mile walk. I have never fished here before and I was wondering what I should use. Remember I am packing light, so a couple baits maybe like shrimp, squid, or chovies, and then lures. I might dropshot gulp swimming mullets, I think that'll be my best bet (my go to). What are your bait and lure suggestions for that area? Thank you for any help and suggestions as I have never fished this area.

Texas rig, or anything weedless is gonna be your friend fishing the channel in liberty station. Grass grows thick and the channel is a gentle shallow slope for a good distance out. The rest of it? Treat it like you would any other part of the bay, and throw the kitchen sink at it.

Throw some shrimp in the liberty station channel. May catch a bonefish or 2.

Has anyone used the "Smoke" color swimming mullets? I usually use pink on a Texas rig in the bay and have great luck. The smoke color looks very appealing though. Looks like a baitfish or chovy.

Just watched your video. That's so funny. I am fishing exactly where you are and gonna use the same stuff. Perfect video a day before I leave.
