My last 3 day weekend before College starts(today). Took advantage of my open schedule and set out to do some light tackle fishing. All in sand crabs 8lb test, size 6 or 8 hook.

Thursday Pm- Seaweed was almost non existent, sand crabs were all over the place. More than I’ve seen in quite some time. But my goodness I couldn’t get away from the Dinks. 15” was the biggest that day. Called it a evening after 25 or so beans.

Friday Am- Line in the water by 5:30. First one on the beach. Long story short the baby beans were out stronger than before.. 19” was the biggest of the morning with a majority between the 8-14” range. Total count for the morning
    15 dinks, 1 19” bean, 2 Barred Surf Perch, and a YFC.

Saturday Am- Seaweed shows up out of no where but still managed to land a couple. All babies. Lost a few drag peelers.

Saturday Pm- ONE BEAN IN 3 hours. 11”...

Sunday Am- First on the beach again.. Landed some nice beans, and also landed a nice sized smoothie on light tackle. That was the fight of my weekend. My reports will start to be minimum but I’m gonna try to be getting out as much as possible with college and work. Until next time.. tight lines.

Didn’t wanna upload every photo but here’s a couple.

It’s relatively enjoyable this type of fishing. For once I actually left it at home! I was wanting to walk and sight fish. Saw some nice spotfins and had one go airborne on my sand crab hahah. Definitely bringing it next time to try to land some nice Leo’s. Seaweed was pretty gnarly once it got to Saturday so hopefully next time I’m out it’s cleared up a bit.

Seaweed as bad last night at SK. Typical warm water issue...
