Starting a separate thread for this topic:

YES-pre line up will be permitted 24 hours prior to launch (for those too lazy to look up 1/2 hour before sunrise that means AFTER 6:00 am on Wednesday).

1-Vehicles looking to go in with a towing vehicle MUST be in line together. No exceptions.
    2-NO GLASS.
3-All BBQ's must be gas; any other types will be told to be put away or taken home as there is no place for coal disposal.
4-Reminder: no day (or overnight) parking of unattended vehicles will be permitted.
5-No parking along the road directly outside the gates.
6-No parking along Moreno/Vigilante with unattended vehicles.
7-Excessive noise/large gatherings are discouraged and may result in your being asked to leave the premises and come back later in the day. In this case 'large' will be defined as 10 or more people.
8-Vehicles may not be left unattended for extended periods (i.e. longer than what a bathroom break will take).
9-No dropping off of just your boat/trailer-towing vehicles must remain connected.
10-Small tents/popups will be permitted next to, or within a reasonable distance, of your vehicle.
11-BE POLITE AND RESPECTFUL; please be sure to keep talking, music, etc. at a level that does not extend beyond your immediate area to disturb others. Disturbing others in this manner WILL result in your being asked to leave the premises and come back later in the day.

There is a bathroom, however I would HIGHLY advise bringing spare tissue for JUST IN CASE as there will be no staff to restock it until after everyone gets in that morning.

And believe me, they will be ticketing and towing any unattended vehicles on the side of the road! I live one block east of Moreno Ave, and the county has been tough out here lately..they have recovered several stolen cars left on the side of the road..

Unoccupied vehicles along Moreno are pretty much assumed to be abandoned and ticketed/towed by the County ASAP :)

    Yeah....that would be ugly.

You know people are going to be towed and people are going to be pissed. Not everyone reads SD-Fish. They better post it somewhere else as well.

For the ones inside it should be a fun night/morning talking and hanging out. Me, not even thinking about it. I am not one to do the hurry up and wait thing in the morning. I am fishing all day its going to take 2.5 hours to get everyone on, maybe longer so me, I am going to sleep in my bed and get there like any other lake on a Saturday.

You going to show up late, I would just stay home then as those spots will be long gone... Who knows though could always do a drive by.

So what happens if I leave my truck and boat in line unattended in the middle of the pack to run to the store to grab some more ice and food what's the ramifications? They can't ticket it you are parking your vehicle in a line, that's why they put in five rows of parking at the bottom of the hill so you can leave your vehicle in line to be first in the morning the next day right?

Maybe you should just respect the rules and pick up your ice and food ahead of time. They've laid out the rules in plenty of time for you to make appropriate plans. If you can't stay there and attend to your vehicle the whole time, don't show up until you can.

My suggestion is plan for an evening away... its a simple ideal its only 12 hours. Follow the rules and enjoy it if you are staying over.
Were you planning on walking all the way to the circle K store while your boat is tucked away and then carry all the ice and drinks and food back? That's a good 4 mile hike back and forth with all that stuff. Good luck with that one... :)

Always gonna be "THAT GUY" in every group, huh....

I'd say try it and when they ask the others to pull out so they can tow your truck and boat out for not complying to the rules posted and impound it. Let us know how it works out for you ;)

Just asking a Question Kellen!!! No need to insinuate I'm being disrespectful, it's easy to read through all these rules and miss interprete what they consider an extended period of time

It says very clearly don't leave your vehicle, except to use the onsignt restroom.

And you're very clearly saying you know you're going to break that rule and asking what your penalty will be.

Sorry to be harsh, but I'm getting tired of people hashing out ways to skirt the rules. Show some respect.

The "blank"-show starts now. Hopefully most of these folk will have a shred of common sense if they plan on camping in line. On the other side of the coin, Im looking forward to chilling in line, BBQ maybe, talk some smack with fellow anglers etc.

I'm just speculating, but I very much doubt it. There is another gate beyond the staging area to keep cars from going up to the lake anyways.

That said, I don't anticipate being anywhere to park inside the gate Wednesday night anyways. But I could be wrong.
