We're looking at doing a fishing trip to Cabo in the November time frame. Been to PV, but never to Cabo. I was told the fishing is much better in Cabo, so I'm hoping that Shinna and I will be able to find something to bring back with us.

Need some insights and pointers from you guys that have fished and stayed down there.

First, hotel. We looked on Costco Travel and found airline and room for what we consider a decent package. Anyone have the "in" on a place that is clean, convenient and safe? Have you found that package deals (Flight and Hotel) are the way to go? Any other pointers or tips?

Fishing: Anybody got some information on fishing Cabo. Best way to find a boat without becoming another "Tourist" statistic of a very expensive boat ride? (Happened to us in PV! Our own fault for trusting the hotel to book us a fishing trip.)

Please PM me any advice and information. We would be very grateful.

    Thanks,
    Perry and Shinna

If you get the chance to watch Angler Chronicles, they featured the East Cape a couple weeks back for Roosters, big Bonitos, and Cravelles.

They run out of here all the time...

It's been a few years but we chartered the El Gato II on a few separate trips and they were awesome!

I never cared much for marlin.. would rather catch almost anything else.. my favorite style of fishing down there was throwing poppers from the beach for bruiser pez toro.. watching them crash that thing outside the surf wash at sunrise and sunset was always magical, though big pargo on a subsurface lure would probably be second..

If your dead set on cabo, Tesero Hotel is right on the marina in the corner where everything happens. not fancy but inexpensive & clean, its all you need.

If you want just fishing related trip & down to fish the east cape, Rancho Leonero is a great option, buffet style breakfast, lunch, dinner, very chill & a small chunk of paradise if your down for being secluded, nothing else to do besides what at the report, snorkel, dive, kayaks, fish, hikes, no nightlife or shopping....

pm me if you have specific questions, im a wealth of knowledge with both areas....

Thanks for all the great information. So, we are trying to decide between the all inclusive package or not. They are substantially more, and we don't drink alcohol.. How are the restaurant prices out side of the resorts? Trying to decide if we get a better deal be not opting for the all inclusive and eating on the outside?
