Well.. had the rare opportunity to fish with Ucsdsu last night and he said he wanted to target a shark and/or pests.. cool, grabbed half a bonito I had sitting in the bait freezer and took off... Caught a couple varmints while we were waiting for full dark, put on the wire and got to it. Some vermin were out, kept us busy til right before high tide. Busted off one (shark jitters on the spinning rod) like a couple rookies, prepped the conventional rod and calmed down. Got the second hookup a bit later, we took it easy and landed this one. Took us awhile to land, and she took a tumble in the sand. She was bleeding, so we harvested her. Bled, soaked, hung, always a process, came out delicious though..
