Lobster bait reviews

    Good question. The cages and tubes lately have had about 75% of the original amount. To be honest the tube or cage is more stinky the second time out. I pack them full so there’s new stink and old stink.

    Stuffing the cages where your bait is squeezing through the mesh or holes is key. The bugs have to be able to pick at your bait once the smell draws them in. My guess is if they can’t reach the bait they’ll move on for an easier meal.

    I like mashed up mackerel, shrimp, and squid frozen into a block or tube shape, depending on your type of bait cage. I drop it down frozen and it thaws quickly and lets out a nice scent trail and it doesn't seem to attract seals much.
