Leave it to Cooper to catch a nice 15 inch sheepshead in Mission Bay. Good eating! We caught a lot of Opeleye and wrasse as well!

I can't believe the amazing variety of fish found in either bay.
Those fish in the pics are beautiful.

this was all on bait right? Squid? Ghost shrimp? I really should try to do a bait challenge, I never use bait from shore.

Garibaldi are protected but I don't think it is the state fish. I'll have to look it up to confirm but I think a trout is the state fish.

If I'm not mistaken, most dock owners will chase you off the docks with brooms if you fish near the boats. How did you guys manage to fish there?

Get a 24' fixed line pole, some smallish hooks, shrimp, and find a nice structured area to tool around in.

We fish off the rocks and toss under the docks. As long as you are not on their dock totally fine.
