    Question for RKMM:

Just out of curiosity, why was the water level dropped, and then filled again?

    Thanks.

I just checked 5 minutes ago - the water level is still about a foot lower than the curb at the bottom of the launch ramp, so no, it's not usable yet.

CWA closed a pipeline down for inspection, so no water was coming in to pretty much any lake except what we transfered from one lake to another.

I was wondering that, too. "Lure trap" looks like a better name than "lobster trap" lol

As of today (November 17) when I spoke with the staff they estimated another week for the water level to reach launch status.

Fished Miramar on Sunday with a buddy on FT. Water level looks like its slowly raising. Fish were really deep. Between the two of us totaled 13 bass. 1/2 day.

Questing for Tait- I was there for a few hours in the afternoon and got skunked. The wind was horrible. Would you mind sharing where you found the bass, and what they were biting?

    Thanks.

Hi guys, I have dedicated four of our older Kayaks to be used for fishing at a better rate then the $ 10.00 dollars per hour we normally charge.
We still feel that rate is good for most people but I have been talking to a lot of fishermen that spend more time on the water and feel that it would be good to rent those four Kayaks at the same rate we rent our row boats. $15.00 for up to 5 hrs
This will start at Miramar but maybe extended to Murray later as we get more equipment.
I will not be posting this price at the store so it will have to get out to the fishing community by word of mouth. Let me know what you think.

Its amazing how well spinnerbaits and crankbaits work at these small, clear reservoirs when the water is suddenly muddied up.

Went fishing on Saturday w/ 3 other buddies in a rental. It was a tough bite overall. Tried the d/s as usual in the grass but couldn't get anything to stick. Water was up high and 63 degrees and clear. About 3 bass boats showed up early and all were fishing at the Escondido arm so we didn't make it over there. I wonder where the fish are at? Maybe they have gone deep (25-40ft)?

When the bite is really pressured hit up the back of carrols cove and work around the north side of the buoy line. Chocolate blue vein/ natural earth tone is a great choice Texas rigged. Fishing deeper water is key as well 60-70 feet on the outside of the mouth of carrols can produce numbers as well c-rig it up and you'll know

Stopped at Miramar on the way home tonight and saw that the launching ramp is roped off and the water level is dropping again.

Anyone have any info on what's going on? Hope they don't take the lake down as low as a month or so.
