When I talked with staff the other day (Monday) they said they talked with the plant operator and they told the keeper the ramp should be open by Tuesday/Wednesday. I was unable to update much on Monday (web/phone) because I didn't get the water level report until after I was off and I've been home sick since.

When one says the lake is, say, "105" what does that refer to? 105% of normal? 105 feet deep at a certain place?

    Thanks.

Max depth 105. If that is true the launch would be open as that is the lowest water level available unless they are dropping it. It could be 105 when launching and 104 when leaving and that would not be good. :(

This morning the caution tape blocking the launching ramp had been moved out of the way and one bass boat was on the lake.

Miramar was a tough bite or lack of for me a my buddies last Saturday. Not sure if it was the full moon, changing water levels and the cold weather but we didn't get any bites. Water was 58 and very clear.

Yeah, I fish it regularly. The only water that fills it comes from run off. Pretty sure they did not draw it down this year. Just natural evaporation and lack of rain.

I was out sick for 2 weeks so I didn't get to update anything until yesterday when I finally got back.

For Sutherland the City/et. all drew the wter down to a specific gauge level (can't recall) at which point all withdrawal was stopped and the level has since dropped naturally due to evaporation.

Going to fish at Miramar this Saturday. Who's been there recently and what is the bite like? Need to beat the skunk from the last 2 times there.

My skunk continues. Not entirely convinced that fish are in the lake. I stopped by last night and the water level was up 1/2 foot from the week before.

I hear you guys, my last trip out was the third straight skunk for me. Tried shallow water as well as deep. Fished very slow presentation and covered a good amount of water for nada. Cant figure it out.

I was skunked the last two times as well. Finally; I was out on Monday and caught one off the last dock, he was sitting in 30' of water in the grass. Going back on Saturday to see if we can find them... 20150112_095221.jpg
