You can launch anywhere you can get into the water as far as I know. If I were you, I would take advantage of the days you can drive around the lake (weekends I think) to launch closer to your location. Kicking from the boat dock to Escondido arm and back would be a workout

With the water being low there are lots of places to launch. Find a spot close to where the actions hot to save your legs one hell of a workout.

Pretty sure you can drive around the lake any day they’re open

It's a very small lake. You can cover a good portion of it in a tube with out killing yourself.

Thanks for all the input. Are we allowed to pull over and park anywhere around the lake?

I have highlighted the areas you can launch either between the tules or shore. And yes you can drive around the lake. But you will get the stink eye from everyone who thinks they own the lake. Inkedmiramar_LI.jpg

Probably want to do that at night, but I think the lake is closed at night!

Agreed. Driving around that lake can be so annoying, these fools with air pods in walking in the direct middle of the road and don’t even notice when a car is pulling up right behind them. And they look at me like I’m some sort of criminal

the woodson point spot is your best bet...all the points are on that side of the lake where, at least for me, the fishing has been better and more consistent...plus theres a nice parking spot and a porta potty there...

I made it out there today and managed to get 1 LMB. Lots of non fishing crowd. Parking lot was pretty much full by 630am. I only seen 2 other boats in the water fishing and maybe 3 shore fishermen. I launched between the rental dock and Mo's hole. Thanks for all the tips!
