Anyone been to Lake Miramar recently and know if the water level has changed or is it really low still?
    Thanks

Was there any water on the end of the ramp or was it all rock?

That’s a great question because if we’re going to launch a kayak.... it could be like a cliff down there sometimes where the cement ramp ends.

That's what I was thinking. May be able to use the small pier if it is still in the water.

I almost was going to drive way up to Miramar just to see if I could launch my kayak from the ramp but can’t really get up there today so unless I get an answer I won’t be going there tomorrow to explore ha ha :)
I imagine you’ll be back at Otay tomorrow morning....tight lines to ya

Are you allowed to launch a kayak from the small pier to the left of the ramp?

I’m not sure if that ramp actually stays up level when the water is real low. I think the ramp goes downward and not sure if you could launch off it..... but I could be wrong.
Does anyone know what that pier looks like next to the boat ramp when the water is really really low?

    Thanks for sharing the pic.
I think I was there around that time and the water was just crazy low and yet it could be really high at times.
With Miramar you never know what to expect two weeks later or even a week later. I remember one time my girlfriend wanted to feed the ducks and we stopped by and the launch conditions were good. I drove up there
5 or 6 days later and had to turn around and take my boat home.
That is why I find it easier to just take my kayak and usually do not have any problems launching......except on crazy low water days.

Was at Miramar Lake this morning, boat ramp is closed and blocked off by cones and signs. Slow for me with one bass lost at the shoreline and one bullfrog. These giant bullfrogs seem to be infesting the lake.

End of Miramar launch ramp is under water. Probably an easy kayak launch but bass boat trailer wheels could fall into the abyss.
