CD471118-36C6-4F83-BFAA-E3B6EFE94E14.jpeg Got to the lake about 3pm. Only boat there.
Started off on points with the jerk-bait. Had 4 micro-bass think they could take a lure half their size. Thought that was going to be the theme.
Finally got a decent keeper, then more micro’s for the next hour or so.
As the sun started to get behind the hill the bite picked up.
Got 4 more keepers on jerkbait and DS.
Ran into Linebig at the launch. If I knew he was there i’d have spied to see the magic.

I have run into lots of micro bass mixed in with a couple keepers lately. Those micro bass are not afraid to hit lures that you would think would be too big for them to chase or inhale.
Thanks for the report and hope to see you out there one of these days soon. WOW... Linebig was there. Have not seen him ever at Lake Murray......ha ha. :) I will have to keep my eye out for him.

I dont hit murray very often. And even less for a normal days fishing. Maybe 3-4 times a year max. Fall fishing there can be fun at times. Good seeing you out there Fire Capt.

I was there around 5pm. Float tube as usual. Fished the Padre area., again. I was trying out my new G Loomis GLX casting rod and Aldebaran reel. Slow for first hour. Plastics slow and deep.
First fish, as usual, was the biggest. 19in, 4.21#. Caught another 3, all around 2.5#. It was a short but sweet session. Fished till dark and made it out with 10 min to spare.
