My buddy and I went to San V yesterday. Got there early. Rented the boat. Headed up Toll Road Arm. Could see plenty of fish hanging out along the shore lines. Just had a really difficult time getting any to bite. Our main strategy was drop shotting 4 inch worms. Nothing happening. We changed to different strategies here and there. Still, nothing happening. Decided to stick with the tried and true drop shot and my buddy pulls up this baby...

Unfortunately, for us we had no scale on board. So we can only guesstimate at what we think was a 9 pounder. What do y'all think?

My buddy did end up catching one more fish. Nothing worth posting a photo of. We fished till about noon thirty. I got skunked. None the less... Great day fishing!

The fish there are super picky right now, if you don’t give them exactly what they want than they aren’t biting (all the way down to the color). I recommend changing baits often and experimenting until you get bit!

    I’d say 6 but......... without a scale I’d definitely say 8+

. You should know better 'asking' a weight anywhere on social media. Immediately everyone is an expert and/or biologist. Or at least they knew a guy thats uncle was one. Get a scale.

I know your buddy is a big guy and can make fish look smaller.

They can be deceiving....especially if you don’t catch them on a semi regular basis. NICE FISH for San V. May have went 7 + in pre spawn.
    KEEP IT UP!

    GET A SCALE!

I caught one about that size today, it weighed 4-1 that doesn’t look above 5# in my opinion
