I don't have a favorite mini-jig brand, try whatever you can find. Some tips: they can be very hard to cast because they're so light, if you spool your reel with 2lb test it makes it easier. You can also fish them under a bobber. Stick your finger out on your hand that's holding the rod, so that when you reel the line hits it and jumps every rotation. Cast and slowly retrieve, your finger will impart plenty of action to the jig!

You can always try lures, I wouldn't go without a couple small kastmasters in my box.

Brand don’t matter no matter what someone says. Presentation is key. There is a video in the fishing report section right now from Santee Lakes. Guys name is Rodmaster858. Always kills it on mini jigs.

Berkeley atomic tube jugs are good. Cheap price but good quality. And good colors. I’ve you want some more heavy duty mini jigs get Sierra slammers. Hook quality is great and many different colors, with great soft plastic.

I would recommend getting 2 lb test and ju jigs is a local company that makes some pretty nice jigs. Also powerbait works pretty good...

I wouldn't waste your money on atomic tubes, your better off getting lead masters, or ultra light heavy weights

Orange Mice Tails have worked for me everywhere. Retrieve them like power worms, or soak them like powerbait on a carolina rig.
