    Started the year off right, pumped ghost shrimp withy new Alvey bait pump that my son got me for x mas (Thanks Mike) Fished mission bay/fiesta island from 9-12 for 5 bites on shrimp and lug worms. Caught a barely legal spotty and a bone fish. lost other 3 pulling through eel grass. my buddy Eric hooked a 35lb butterfly ray and got it to a foot of water in the eel grass when I broke it off on purpose to let it go.by 10 wind was blowing 20mph called it a day. good to break in my orange fishing lic

    Nice way to start. Thought about going there myself this morning but looked out back and saw several new gopher mounds. Dealt with that instead by setting traps. Should have gone to the bay instead.

    I am guessing they are moving into back bay for warmer water.now it's time for my first flyrod bonefish from mission bay.and that 20ft teeny sink tip is ready to go on the 3wt
