Got out there on the boat at around 7:30 or so with yellowtail being the main target. Didn't bother with bait except for a few macks that were boiling at the slip. It was pretty foggy out and the radar wouldn't stay on for long periods of time so it was a little sketchy with all the boats out there. We stuck it out and fished the yoyo for a bit with some pulled hooks here and there and ended up with 3 rats that were safely released due to the lack of space in my freezer. Finished the day with some sandies, a sculpin, and a few short halibut on swimbaits and laser minnows. No pictures today because I was too busy fishing to go down into the cabin to get my phone but I figured it was still worth sharing.

Might have worded that a little wierd. I was saying that today we were half-assing it (on my boat) but on previous trips that I was talking about (cattle boats), sand bass were the main target.

Got out again today. Missed my alarm and wasn't out at the buoy until 11:30 and had to be back by 2:30 so that didn't leave much time. Seemed pretty dead out when I was circling around. Didn't see anyone hooking up. Oh well. Was a lake today.

Yeah.. Was just referring to the VERY top, like the top couple feet.. Pretty steep, rocky drop on each side, they chose it well for placement

Interesting.. headed down in a few mins to see what we can pick out of there. Rapalas first, then spoons and bottom dredging.
