I didn't sleep well last night thanks to my inconsiderate 1 year old, so I didn't get up until mid morning. I decided to forgo tubing Mission Bay try and to fail again at corbina, but I already missed the prime parking window, so instead I went to drain in north county that I've been eyeballing on Google maps. It paid off because I found at least a dozen carp, mostly of the small variety, but I did see a rather large tail fanning underneath the bridge I was on. Trying to flycast under my legs and drag 'n drop... lol. I managed 2, but lost the 2nd one as I was trying to hoist it up the bank sans net. A lot of them had ghostcarp-like features, including this one with a beautiful dorsal fin.

Awesome, man. Those odd-colored carp are so cool.
