Are LC 110's a top water plug? I can see I've got a pretty steep learning curve from Salmon/Steelhead to fishing in SD. Can't wait to hit the water.

Nope, they're shallow-diving crankbaits. Super popular around here, used for everything from largemouth bass to barracuda.

LC's dive down about a foot to two then suspend pretty well. I too came from Salmon /Steelhead background to surf fishing. . My go to rods are steelhead rods. My fav is a Laminglas Infinity 9' 2" using 10 braid or 12 mono you can really make Lucky Crafts fly.
