Not exactly the dink whisperer...

Current and weeds were a pain this afternoon in the South Bay. And the breeze didn't feel too bad in the parking lot...what's with the mini whitecaps?
Might as well give 'er a shot. Mmm nice and warm..Made good time going straight into the wind but dang-o dang-o those waves hit the back of the U tube. Only thing dry was the top of my hat. Big boat's wake made the chop more consistent and less splashy.
SPLASH wha...! Splash..
Oh a big mullet a little ways off..mocking me through a series of jumps...it was getting serious hang time.
Splash...got bass? No? Splash.
Splash...sucks to be you...splash.

Only got two taps the first hour then hookup...it's ON now!
Seriously? A tiny diamond ray, foul hooked to boot.
But eventually got nine spotties in 3.5 hours on the water. And the darn mullet came back for one last taunt...fully 2 feet long leaping straight at me from 20 feet away..a beaut.
The bass were typical SoBay...8 to 14 inches.

 

Nope...never.
