My two buddies and I first stop of the day was Hauser arm and started casting out the senko's. First fish of the day for us was this nice fella caught be me. We pretty much fish up and down Hauser all morning long. Steadily catching a fish here and there. Then I got another nice one... Soon after this Buddy #1 lands the fish of the day... Here's a couple more from the Hauser session... Wind started to pick up some so we decide to motor over to the back end of Pine. Hoping the wind wouldn't be as bad over there. But, no such luck, it was relatively the same. Still casting senkos all over the place I got my biggest fish of the day here. So now its about 1pm in the afternoon. It's hot and a tad windy. At this point in time I have landed 14, buddy #1 has landed 12, and buddy #2 has landed 5. This is when things got interesting. "The running of the shad" as my buddies and like to call it has started! I immediately switched over to a spinner bait. Buddy #1 stuck to the senko. Buddy #2 switched to a lipless crank. And it's on! A true feeding frenzy. Shad all around us for like the next hour. I caught 9 more. Buddy #1 caught 2 more and wish he switched out lures! Buddy #2 got 5 more. Most of them were in the 2 pound range. With only a few of them having some chunk on them. We called it a day after that and headed back to the dock. All in all it was a fantastic day on the lake. With 48 total fish landed. With some hogs mixed in. Good times!
