Where to start. First felt bad I had taken my jumper cables out and could not help shutyrmouth. So we left him in our dust. Got to the parking area always fun to watch the runners for the boats. Trucked my tube stuff down and got ready to go. Started fishing the by the dock, nada. Went around and headed for the dam. I got my first fish just passed the old dock house. There is a grass wall about 6 to 8' out from shore. So you are fishing behind it to shore or outside it to deeper water. With moss on the inside to gum baits up. I tried a spinnerbait and to my suprize nada. I was bummed at first, but then put on a popper. BAM! that was it, fish sucking it in, rolling on it and even there version of a great white eatting a seal. I missed many but caught I would say only about half. But the top water did good in the grassy slops, not so much on rocks. I fly lined a worm and dropshotted for the rest of my fish. At one point I met up with Noobus and we pulled many fish off one little grassy area about 10'to 15' wide. My biggest of the day was 3 lbs. Here are some pics.

I did catch some heads (skinny fish) that would of been better than 3 lbs easy. All in all a fun day. Didn't fish like I had planned and left with a total of 53. Noobus nice to meet you and thanks to Noobus, OtayMike and giantbass for the spot.
OM I didn't mind taking a little nap before the drive home.;)

Awesome first report with pix! Thanks! With all that grass, do you think a frog might work well?

The big girls are out getting healthy after getting hammered in the spawn. I say fry and the males were preaty beat up also. There could be some still spawning?? Water was 64 morning 68 end of the day.

The fry I say were on there own. You see a bass hit splash and see nothing to hit until you get close and see the fry. I tried throwing thru them wouldn't get hit. Most fish on the outside of the grass wall.

All this OM stuff has gotten everyone off the most important thing. The 12 hours plus you have before you even need to worry about leaving.

I would think a frog would have worked great. I had two fish explode through the grass to hit poppers stuck in the grass.
