That will allow you all activities except water contact, so you can rent a boat or use a float tube.

Fun day rat bite was good for 8 fish in am on boat after that tried few things with no success so went to t rig brush hog and t rig 12" worm
Fished 35-50 ft deep on end of shallow points and secondary points inside with boat casting outside and fishing up hill or across the point at depththree guys on boat 80 plus fish lots of bent hooks tons of fun no swim bait fish though although didnt try much
Would like to thank SD STAFF painless fast as possible launch lake had plenty of room good or ideal spots hard to get on but if have graph with side scan there is plenty of hidden secondary points and humps with rocks and weeds or brush to fish.
Like in kellen under water video post if you found spot with right condtion you could camp on it catching for hours

Now that you're up and running, can we buy fishing permits in advance?

Power boat is $80.00 deposit, $35.00 for the first 2 hours, $10.00 per hour after that up max $80.00 for the day.

They take cards for the boat rentals and permits or just cash?

    Man that was completely ridiculous!!!

First and foremost, tremendous job by the city of San Diego lake staff. That was amazing how smooth everything went starting with Wednesday, all the way through getting off the water tonight. The facilities are awesome! I love the curb around the parking lot to prevent people from cutting it short and jamming up the hill.

As for the fishing, my god. It wasn't wide open, because you couldn't just throw whatever you wanted and catch 100 bass, but if you threw what they wanted, it was darn near full speed the entire day!

We had a group of 4, and I have no idea how many we caught. I couldn't even hazard a guess. We had regular quadruple hookups.

I cannot believe the amount of 4-6 lbers we caught, truly amazing.

The fish seemed to very quickly react to the boat traffic and they slid off into deeper water. The first hour of the morning they were shallow, but after that, they were stacked up on any deep cover you could find. It didn't seem to matter where you fished, we didn't fish a bad spot all day.

I'm fishing tomorrow, and don't have any idea where to start because it was all good.

Biggest fish came off spoons, tailspins, and swimbaits for me. But the bubba rig was full speed for 4-6 lbers all day long.

Camped in line last night and fished from 6am to 3pm today. Lake staff did an amazing job and everything went verity smoothly for us. My buddy and I ended up with around 100 more or less between the two of us. Average size was 3-4 pounds and just beautiful feisty fish. First thing fish were eating the frog for my buddy and the Lucky Craft Sammy for myself. I caught 14 on that lure before I even switched out. As mentioned, first 2 hours topwater and shallow was really good, then 10-20', then deeper after lunch. We caught em on topwater, spinnerbait, jigs, senkos, fat ikas, swim baits...

That was my biggest today. Didn't weigh it. On a shad swimbait in the morning. Probably my 4th or 5th fish of the day.
