That's awesome @aquaholic but I don't think they will work from the dock area, they have to be used in the water that is the depth of the water the fish was caught in from my understanding. Otherwise the fish is not properly recompressed and when released they will float back to the surface, although several minutes later after struggling for a while. I may be wrong but that is what I've been taught.

I have seen a couple 2-4 lb fish being taken off the lake but not nearly what I have seen taken from others. Those 2 to 4 pound fish are exactly the slot that should be taken to help the growth cycle...

Yes I got the general access ticket through ticket master. But can I launch my kayak without a boat launch or water contact ticket?

They have been saying yes as long as it does not have a trolling motor.

Not even in the side lots? I saw people lined up there already when I left the lake today at 5.

Yozuri jerk bait, going for bass at the aqueduct. Heard they closed that area today, two buddies got kicked out.

Just thought this was a cool pic so I'll share, this is about 15 to 20 2lb to 4lb males standing guard over a jumbo school of fry. At first I thought it was a wolf pack but when I watched for a few I realized they were guarding not hunting. Occasionally a young crappie or bluegill would approach the fry and the Guardian Bass would spring into action with a quick series of attacks. The school of fry goes from dock to dock and is about 50' long.

I saw all those tiny fish and wondered why the big ones were not chowing down! Thought they were shad.

I was thinking the same till i watched them for a little while and seen what they were doing. Rangers would lot let anyone fish there but im betting anything dropped in there would have been attacked.

I guarantee that if there were trout in thete they would have been getting some revenge, that would have made an awesome vidio, trout chasing the fry and the bigger bass chasing the trout.

Aquaholic i spoke with the rangers tonight when i came back in to the docks, they said they would be more than happy to have one on their boat. They said they have seen over 40 floaters over 4 lbs so far. I will be there Thursday and i will be more than happy to hepl them get set up and teach them how to use it if you bring one by for them.

A few pics from today! It was a little tougher today with the wind but we had a great time. The first is my smallest for the day, second is my biggest, had 5 others in between, the 3rd and 4th pics are some additional memorable moments, the largest Redear weighed in so far at 2.6 lbs and a tie for the largest bluegill at 1.6 lbs 20160926_132423_resized.jpg 20160926_082210_resized.jpg
