Heading out from SI tomorrow in the late morning (8am). Planning on picking up some live bait and heading toward the 182 then turning toward the 181 and throwing baits/ surface irons at kelp paddies along the way. Pretty comfortable with this initial plan but if anyone has been out yesterday or today and has any other suggestions I'd like to hear them.

Change of plans. Heading out of MB or Oceanside toward the 181 initially.

Heading north is a good plan.. lots of Dorado on rogue kelps it seems.. Or you could buck the trend and head south.. if you find a decent kelp, it should be loaded. Not only Dorado and yellowtail, but yellowfin tuna as well. You could always use the trusty islands as a backup plan if you work it down south..

Yeah we were thinking head south along the edge of the channel from the 181. Keep going until we catch what we want or the sun goes down.

Got dodos off oside two weeks ago, but couple days ago The canyon had yellowfin. Watch the birds closely if they are moving quick they are on fast moving fish just shut down and throw bait and wait. Trust me
