I know things are slow around here but I am going to put this out anyway.

How would a kayak and/or tube day Fly with the masses?
Not taking a boating day away, but adding this no motors day, like at Sutherland on Fridays but at every lake?

It works great up at the lake you mentioned. No boats trying to take over your spot like they are in a higher fishing skills level or a better fisherman than you and acting like they have more right to the spot than some silly float tuber or kayakers. Plus there would be no scary boats flying around the lake that almost run you over...ha ha

I am all for that and I think it would be well attended! But truly no motors! There is fudging going on at Sutherland !

I don't know who would enforce the no electric motors. Some are pretty stealth, Mine would be if I had one :emoji_smirk:What's the deal up there? Has anybody ever been thrown off the lake?

If there are any improvements from Supervisor Anderson's initiative at all, this seems like something we would have a good chance of getting. I am going to see about it. Does anybody want to help?

As long as there is a day at the lake that there are no kayaks I'd be fine with it, Hodges is a ship show right now.

With the crapi bite wide open at Hodges you cant work the narrows or the peninsula, there is a kayak every 50 feet, as well as a group out in the middle in front of launch area, even the sail borders had to go some where else on the lake to sailboard. Once the crapi bite dies down things will be back to normal.

Even up in the Sierras, sups and kayaks are taking over the small lakes, with no regards for the fisherman.

How's about on all the lakes, only kayaks and tubes Mon.- Thursday, boats and the whole cluster ....Fri.- Sun! Mon.- Thur. You would only need one City employee and not the whole flock of them like on the weekends with the boats! I'm sick and tired of the City saying they have no money for the lakes and the public..but they have millions to piss away on the drunks and addicts living in the river beds, which they've proved is a total waste of money and only profits the CEOs of the nonprofits!!!!!!!!!! I guess it does make the bleeding heart liberals feel like they're doing something!!!!

And two twin-engine boats to give out tickets! One ticket is about 10 permits in their coffers.

They probably spent $250,000 on those 2 ranger boats that they use to check the floating outhouse once a day at San V! The wakeboarders should be paying for those boats, not the fisherman!!!

Maybe all the lakes that are open every day of the week? I take my bass boat to Hodges all the time and would hate to loose 1/3 of my oppertunities

No doubt! Remember when the lakes were patrolled by a dock boy in a rental boat! You've got to love the way the city blows through money!!! Hey Toad Gloria, let me save you some money..I'll patrol San V on Mondays and I'm sure I could find some other fisherman to patrol the other 4 days for the price of a permit! Of course, you wouldnt be able to blow through the millions you spend on boats, Rangers, and useless city employees!

It sounds like you guys should organize and build a fun club advocacy group! LOL.
Start shooting all these bureaucrats and politicians some consistent constituent pressure and rational direction.

It would suck why should any 1 type of fishing be allowed, we all want to fish. Next thing the ski boats will want a day to their selves, so possibly 1 day to ski, 1 day to yac-tube and 1 day for personal fishing boats and 1 day for the bank fishermen, my personal opinion drop it un less they open the lakes 7 days a week
