Hey JJ, not sure if you're issue with the wind was casting into it or keeping the boat in position. If it's the latter, I would highly recommend an MK Ultrex, even though the saying has been overused lately, it really is "a game changer".

Still a nice day with the numbers and quality of fish in the photos!

You did better than me. I had three. Now two of them were real nice 4lb + with the third about 2lbs. I marked some nice school but I could not fire them up. I don't think I have seen that many folks on a Wednesday. When I left both parking lots were pretty dang full.

I found a few good schools of fish between 20-40 foot but only caught my two 4+ pounders. I was hard to get them to react.

my problem with the wind is that for flippin thin braid and fly line flukes you need boat position and accurate casting through the front line of tulles. and I have a small boat that is easily blown around. I do ok, but want more!! :)

HAHAHA! actually, I'm kinda bummed when I'm not catchin em. :) sick, no. SORE, heck yes! I'm ALMOST too old for this ****! :)

Another great day at Otay for JJbasser Do you have an anchor to hold your boat in position? Thanks for the report and pics!

That's when you just let the back of the boat crash into the reeds and fish backwards.
