it was SOOO good to be back on the water, didn't care if I caught any or not.
the launch went real smoot. and everybody was launched by 6AM!
water was super clear and 74 degrees.
flipped tulles all morning. boated 5, lost one at the boat, and got tulled twice. all before 9AM! SWEET!
MY OPINION!!! when I say she was destroyed, i'm talking about the unbelievable amount of tulles ripped out!! a 4+ foot barrier of downed tulles prevented a good bite. SHAME! SHAME!
FROGGERS??? think about the rest of us before you go tearing out the !@#$%$#@! tulles!!!
and after only one day!!! SHAME! INCONSIDERATE!ok, i'm done. blast me if you must. but it pissed me off!! GOPR9226.JPG GOPR9230.JPG

Glad you got a few. Saw a few throwing frogs, no many, but even so, they don't pull tulles out, they work between them, weedless and all. There were quite a few tulles laying dead all over already at the start of yesterday, but it wasn't from any fishermen as nobody had been on the water for two months, so maybe from carp breeding? That'd be my guess.

I vote heavy winds last week or two.. too early for carp breeding around most of SD, IMO... saw some looking like they were getting ready a week ago in the river, and that water is far warmer than the reservoirs as near as I know. Probably contributed to with the crazy water level fluctuations....

At least you got a limit. I hate the tules, some tules are good but when they are deep and all over like this it makes it gives the bass way too many places to hide. Give me that low water concentration on rocky points and offshore structure 15-25' deep, oooof!

JJ.....So glad to see you fishing on your home lake and posting again. Sorry you had the tulles mess to deal with. Hopefully things will improve and no doubt you will be nailing lots of nice bass this summer.
    :)

They were probably trying to get into places like this one that I saw during my Saturday morning run around the lake :emoji_frog:: IMG_20200516_071843 (1).jpg
