they were right where i left em. :) same mile long shoreline as 2 weeks ago. no 6lbers, but 2 3 lbers. :)
only boated 6 again, but missed oh so many. the blow ups were cool, but how they miss it on a blast like that is a mystery to me. :) just as good as topwater any time.

Are 2 threes as good as 1 six? No, but still pretty good! I love the fight that most 3's have in them.

Otay is doing just fine. :) the trick is finding the bait that has fish on it. Massive bait schools all over the lake.... bad part is 20% have fish on them... Yet as JJ has found... once you find them.. they stick around. :) nice work JJ

TOP WATER?! tried half heartedly tried some of these. bass were busting everywhere, good luck with that. hit and gone they were. so, the bass busting shad against the tulles was the best targets. and fly line flukes worked best. caught way more tulles than bass though! when the bass hit it going sideways, you can see it and know it's going to bury you up. now the work starts. good luck with that too.:emoji_astonished:
as for chasing those other busters, a clone fry works best *&^%$**&^%$:emoji_joy:

Thanks JJ and Rob. Haven't been to Otay in quite awhile. I love that place
but I guess I became lazy having El Cap and San V at my back door.
After my trip to El Cap Sunday and fighting the bug infestation I think it may be time to travel down the road a bit next time.
