Anyone know how much the fine is? I had 45 minutes to kill this afternoon so I went out to just make some casts and get some sun, definitely wasn't gonna pay $8 for that. Too bad DFW was out checking people today, I've never seen them out there at any point in the last 3 years so I figured I was safe. Funny how that works :p

I think someone on here got one at murray
last year or the year before and I think it was $260
probably depends on the judges attitude that day
if you show up they might just throw it out or 50 bucks
personally I think It should be the death penalty for all crimes
it wouldn't take very long to have a nice peaceful country

It really sucks that there aren't rates such as "$2/hr" or something for these instances. Every week I could get a couple extra hours of fishing in after work but I refuse to pay the same amount for 12 hours as for 1. I'd rather hit up a pond or maybe surf

With today’s wages $8 is cheap fun, for a couple of hours of fun. Name any thing that costs less than $8 for a couple of hours fun, unless you ride the bus or trolly

Absolutely! I really wish they sold it by the hour, I'd happily drop by the shop and pick up a permit for an hour for these kinds of scenarios. Today, my baby was napping and my two older boys were just hanging out playing some video games, so I grabbed a rod and drove the 10 minutes over to Otay with the intent of fishing for about 30 minutes just to get out of the house.

I get that $8 isn't a lot, but plenty of times I've gone and bought a permit only to find every one of the like, four, fishable spots from shore packed with people.

It would be impossible to regulate and inforce an hourly permit. Now a boat launch combo fishing permit and a shore fishing permit with different prices could be nice

That's a whole new political topic for the lounge, lol. if 70% of our state taxes weren't funding "something" else a lot more things would be more fairly/easily "accessible"
