We caught 78 in about 10-11 hours. Almost all of them 8-11”. It was good to see fish relate to the habitat features in the lake as intended.

    Wow!!!!! Nice job!!!

Do you think you’d need a fish finder to locate the structure/fish or do boat renters have a chance?

I have been trying to find them but with no luck. Last week I am positive I was on top of a bunch but couldn't get them to bite.

Electronics would help going in blind as any lake, but good fish have been caught by anglers that just go fish without electronics too. That day they were in multiple similar locations throughout the lake. Even if in the right area we still needed the right presentation and bait. They were pretty finicky that day and it took me a while to figure that out....my buddy smoked me 51-27 because I wasn’t doing the same thing.

Sounds like fun. Interesting that they were so picky about the presentation. Last time out at the river no special presentation was necessary just swim it where they could see it and those suckers would swim 5-15’ to go get it. It was shallow clear water though. They put up a fun fight with a fly rod. They were about the same size in many different colors and patterns. Lots of fun. I keep saying I got to get up there to Perris. It’s on the list. Thanks for the report and congrats on a great days fishin.
