Rough night last night. Getting short bit just enough to stick around the area I was at. Stuck with it for an extra hour after I felt like bailing and it paid off with this fatty.

Was a real tough bite yesterday my go to lures weren't working so i modified one out of boredom and lack of bites and it instantly produced, even got a just short hali on it but the grind is key on slow days. Way to stick it out, looks like you were rewarded nicely with a pig!

Yeah, it was pretty brutal. I was getting short bit on one of my go to lures so downsized to another go to of a different type that was a little smaller. Continued getting short bit. Wasn't sure if it was just pissing them off and they were nipping at it or what. Took everything I had not to tie something different on. Figured it was getting bit so I would get one to commit eventually.

I had the same problem, we had 12 rods all setup with different lures and it didn't matter all were short bit. Only had 2 fish all day that chocked the bait most of them were skin hooked or farmed even if they slammed it, just a real weak tidal flow IMO

I was out last night too for a little bit and I was even using live smelt, and I only got a short spottie and a tiny sand bass. Very slow evening

Dang, I didn't even notice that.

Now I have to go back and look at all my old pictures...

Not sure why anyone would clip in Dana. No tourneys here. Maybe since it was so fat someone just wanted to see if they were catching the same one?

The fin cuts are from being abducted by aliens for research then returned to the water.
