Since I suck at bass fishing and needed a little pick me up after my 5th skunk at DVL, I decided to dig up some pics and reminisce about my favorite fishing destiniation - good 'ole Loreto. I'm new to the site so since I haven't posted any fish reports from there, here's a whole bunch of pics from the last few trips: July 2009: The fish that almost pulled me overboard: Tortuga! Labor Day 2008: PB Dorado. Close to 50 lbs. Got 4 on this trip in the 40-50lb range. 1st and only fish ever caught on fly - fresh or saltwater! It's a good sign when the fish doesn't fit in the hold: Another beast from the same trip - he was thirsty after a long fight... August 2008: Brought the good camera this trip: August 2007: July 2006: Bait: Biggest bait ball I've ever seen - too bad the "fish" balling the bait up were a school of manta rays: This is what happens when the filet knife ends up unsheathed on the bottom of the boat: Ready to fish! Sigh.......can't wait till next summer...
