Fishing the same spot I have been fishing all week except today it was a grind. First went to Spanish landing, bites but nothing hooked. Then went to harbor island, nothing. Finally went to the SD river at the first bridge, bites but nothing. I had a Texas rigged gulp instead of the usual dropshot, it was hard to get the hook weedless but it worked. With nothing happening and 3 of us fishing I decided to try my luck on top of the actual bridge. It was dead low tide and you could see all the weeds and the gaps. I don’t know if it’s legal to fish in the bridge but there weren’t any signs. Working the t-rig slowly over the weeds and I finally got hit. Had to bring him all the way up on the bridge and run him back to shore, he was only out of the water for 2 minutes and kicked away hard!

Nice one, I'll try to find him tomorrow!
I threw various plastics near spanish yesterday afternoon for 1 bite and nothing hooked...on a rising tide, lame! I'm going to give the big bay 2 hours of my attention tomorrow AM since its supposed to be too windy for the ocean but its been a while since I had good any numbers in the warm water.

Thats a nice catch. I hit up a couple spots today at lunch and spoke to a few people and with the tide pulling out no one was doing well. Wind sucked as well. Good to see you're out there on the water.

I think if we all get together one night by a fire, maybe sacrifice a mackerel or 2, chant alittle, we could finally get some good spottie shore numbers lmao. Man it's been touggghhh in the big bay. Nice fish tho!
