pt loma pilots 3-02-08

    We were out off pt loma kelp in my buddies boat, a slow go today, on the way in north side of the channel saw a school of pilots whales that was the

    That would have been so wonderful to see. I love seeing life like that in the wild. I once saw a Marlin tail walking out in the open ocean, it wasn't hooked up or anything but it was acting like it had been. It was just nice to see that happening.

    Cool, so that's what those are... I saw a pod a month ago off Bird Rock...

    in baja we were trolling through a huge pod and must have hooked one and our reel 30wide was empty in a minute and no it wasn't a tuna

    Those look like "rizzos" to me, spelling not sure. The Crusty white on their tops is a dead give-away + Large swept back dorsal...Pilot whales are Slate (dark) Gray, almost Black.
