Went halibut casting with my buddy this morning and got this 20 incher to bite between the Topaz Jetty and Redondo Beach Pier. I painted a beat up metallic sardine LC white & red and replaced the rear hook with a 3/0 ringed Owner live bait hook. He/she bit very close to shore. Fun times!

The weather was beautiful. Only a slightly chilly breeze in the morning, then quiet sunshine followed by a warmer breeze around 11am when we stopped.

One of my other fishing friends, Mark, caught a 19 incher in the same place around noon. The Redondo Beach halibut seem to follow the tide in. Today's high tide was 10:32am.
