    Yo!

Trying to find a reel clamp for a Fishing 13 Concept A3 so I can clamp it to a deckhand style rod. I tried a couple of Tiburon clamps for smaller reels but all were do big.

Does anyone have a recommended clamp for an A3 or 300/smaller-sized baitcaster?

Use stainless hose clamps until you figure out where you want the reel , then wrap with constrictor knots directly to the rod with alike cording thats on your rod . If you need to work on the reel you will have to cut the wraps on the feet but it will only take minutes to rewrap . Wrapping a plate type seat to the rod , again with same cordage as handle would be another way of getting it solid . Good luck with it . WR

I haven't personally used them, but Duran makes clamps for low profile reels. Just make sure to watch out with them because I think they not only size them based on your reel, but also the rod diameter.

Something like the reel seat below might work albeit a bit ghetto. Use electrical tape to secure it to your rod.

Breakaway also makes saddle clamps, but then may be a bit cumbersome. saddle clamp.JPG reel seat.JPG

Cord wrap that plate seat in the above attachment . If its a cork grip maybe you can modify the holes to fit the reel on a Cork Puppy clamp .cork-puppy-reel-clamps .

Thank! I appreciate the recos. I like those Duran clamps, maybe a bit pricier that I was hoping to through at this particular set up, but tempting nonetheless.

The cord wrap idea also sounds cool, but it's a cork wrap grip, so might not be as smooth for this rod?

Might have to think about this one a bit more...

Zip ties? Nothing wrong with ghetto approach if it works.

You might look into a cork puppy? I believe there are adjustable reel "bolt" holes on it and it comes in 3 different sizes, you'll just need to get the rob butt diameter to make sure it will fit. There is also the SEI trigger clamp, I think there is only one diameter size though, and then the Duran as well, I believe this one started as a way to use low profile baitcasters on deckhand rods and then they made bigger sizes.

The duran clamp prob won't fit the a3. It fits the lexa 300 and luna 300. But the screws almost bottom out. Maybe if you find shorter screws or cut a bit off the existing screws.

Yeah, I had a hunch that could be the case. I think for the time being I might just go the path of least resistance and re-pair these rods and reels.

Stainless steel zip ties, now that's some high end zip ties! Ghetto zip ties would be $.99 at Harbor Freight or at the 99 Cents Only Store.
