"... And second, the opinion says that the Constitution requires a process other than the criminal justice system to formally accuse a sitting President of wrongdoing..."

Hint: it starts with the letter "I"

Formally accuse, yes! Would not stop Muller from saying "we found that he did ________ ." Instead, Muller just threw mud against the wall to see how much would stick! How much "obstruction" would there have been had there been no phony investigation to begin with. How many times did the President say "this is a Witch Hunt." FBI officials said "there is no there there". A ridiculous way of saying "we got nothing and we know it."

The conclusions concerning Russia and Trump were finished well before the midterms. Why was that not announced ? Nothing political there, right? Talk about influencing an election, who needs Russia!

And go where? Everywhere else has a VAT, and Yang's is half the amount.

Nah, they prefer to enslave H1B workers here for up to six years tied with their Green card applications. It's perhaps cheaper than to hire them in their own countries and then sync all their work. Ol' uncle Gates proclaimed that he would transfer MS overseas if H1B quotas were cut off but MS is still in Redmont. Now the wind is blowing his way - increase the quotas and even reform the immigration laws in favor of highly skilled workers while curbing the family class. Makes a lot of economics sense, we need more tax and SS/Medicare payers.

Many tech companies (about half according to Yang) support the Freedom Dividend because it puts buying power directly into consumers hands.

Do you understand how much money 1000 dollars a month to every american is? It would cost around 4 trillion dollars a year. Top 10 tech companies clear around 1 trillion combined. See the problem?

$3,924,000,000 a year. Plus massive inflation. Basic economics say total economic collapse but I guess as long as he gets elected then everything is fine.

They won't see that money. Cost of living will adjust to eat that extra $1000 up. Rent, food, fuel, services will all go up. Just like it did when we went from single income households to double income households.

Landlords don't collude anything. They know every person over 18 renting there property has an extra $1000.00 and you don't think they will raise the rent? You are naive to human nature? More demand equals higher prices. If every household all of a sudden can afford a new car a year. The price of cars will increase to adjust for what percentage of annual income a car should cost. Also I don't understand the mentality that the government has any business taking money from private industry and redistributing in order to gain votes.

The only possible exception might be in rural areas with heavy blight. 12k$ in some distant community deep in MS, AR or LA might see less inflation (or possibly areas like blighted Detroit). Otherwise, it will just be inflation, I imagine any positive effects in blight areas will be more than offset by inflation in areas like NY, urban CA, etc

Wow guys, although this was rather easy test I'm still impressed by the background in basic economics displayed by most in this discussion. It looks you won't be that easy to be fooled by that MMT crap now in fashion among many of the D's. It also looks like you won't take that "Freedom dividend" or UBI baits offered to gain ignorant votes by power hungry corrupt politicians either. Congratulations fellas!
BTW, let me tell you some measures to counter inflation that were in effect in the real socialist countries with "public" ownership of nearly all means of production:
    1. Housing falls under regulations. Rents were under tight government control and purchasing apartment or a house was far more issue of a permit by the government than availability of money. Frequently couples waited in the list for about 20 years until they got approved.
    2. Cars were distributed with yearly quotas to a long waiting lists. You pay initial down payment about 20% of the car price and then some waited 15-20 years to get one. My father was lucky - he made the down payment and signed for a Lada as soon as it was offered for a future sales (I think around 1970) and we purchased our Lada in 1976. The ratio of price to annual income was still 10 times higher than here since pricing was the second method to reduce private car ownership. Import was also government monopoly and only very limited lots of Western/Japanese built cars were imported for the highest communist nomenclature and their children.
    3. Food and clothing were also somewhat limited and far from the diversity that you take here for granted. All prices were under tight government control.
    4. Currency exchange was illegal and underground dealers were prosecuted.
    5. Travel/work were generally limited to only socialist countries. Whose lucky to travel West/Far East or work for hard currency in socialism-friendly African and Arabic countries could import larger items as cars only with a special permit and heavy duty. They also were obliged to convert their dollars for government issued special currency worthless abroad, but good for shopping in the few special stores for foreign diplomats that were full with much higher quality and abundant variety merchandise, not available in any other store.
I could continue this list further but you should already get some idea how different were these "second" world countries behind the iron curtain. Oh, how I would love to send Bernie and OAC back in time to let them experience what was the life in a real socialist country. Don't take me wrong, there were also thing better than here but they are among the reasons why such economic system could not survive and eventually collapsed.
So yeah, with all its shortcomings the present American style "socialism" is still far better than what was the real socialism. Most of you would never know how lucky you are the be born and have all your life here.
