    Rob, What size rod do you recommend for throwing the smaller flylined plastics on light braid?

    I use two different rods. I have a 6’10 med with a 1500 size reel and a 7’3 med action with a 2500 size. The key is the braid. It really is. Its really funny explaining sometimes and I get the deer in the head lights look. A full spool of 5-6 pound braid casts so well. No memory. No wind knots. Just great casting line.

    Any decent med action rod with any decent reel and you’ll be good.
