Hey, that was a question for Creek, not for you guys. Do you think Creek is incapable of answering for himself?

And yes, politicians (both parties) seem to "change their mind" a lot, mostly depending on whether it suits their interests or not.

Meanwhile, here is a quote to enjoy:

Whenever a man has cast a longing eye on offices, a rottenness begins in his conduct.

That was in regard to exercising the “nuculear option” to reduce the majority to a simple 51 to combat the filibuster.

So you’re supporting the notion that the Senate in Obama’s last year failed to perform their duty when M. Garland was nominated and McConnell intentionally denied a confirmation hearing ? He stated that much in February.

That resulted in The Seat remaining vacant for a year do to selective inactiveness.

McConnell set that precedent and now has no option but to expose his hypocrisy if a nomination AND confirmation are “Operation Warp Speeded” in the next month and half.

    Hold on to your hats

If hypocrisy was a problem in politics, there would be few to none of the current politicians left. This is not the fault of politicians, it is the fault of voters.

The Senate hasn't confirmed a nominee from an opposite-party president during an election year since the 1880s, and why would they? But things are different when the same party controls both the White House and the Senate, as Republicans do now. It's a difference that Democrats and the media are having a hard time wrapping their little heads around.

    That’s my point, exactly

The issue with your statement, nothing forces the Senate to Confirm a nomination. However, it’s their duty to hold a confirmation hearing once a nomination has been presented.

This is the precedent that McConnell set by stating outright he would not hold a hearing prior to a nomination coming his way.

Question now, will Trump submit a female for nomination before Election Day ... hmm

I would like to see him nominate Stormy Daniels, just to show there is no bad blood between him and her. At least she makes an honest living, unlike those in politics.

Sorry, Mr. Biden: The voters did pick who should fill the SCOTUS vacancy
    September 19, 2020
    By Neil Braithwaite

Commenting on the death of Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Joe Biden said:

“There is no doubt, let me be clear, that the voters should pick the president and the president should pick the justice for the Senate to consider.”

Well Mr. Biden, in case you don’t remember, the voters did pick a president in 2016, and the voters picked Donald J. Trump. Mr. Trump was inaugurated at noon on Jan. 20, 2017, making him the 45th President of the United States.

Again, in case you can’t recall Mr. Biden, Section 1 of the 20th Amendment of the U. S. Constitution states that Donald J. Trump’s term as president of the United States does not end until noon on Jan. 20, 2021.

And until that time, President Trump holds all the rights and powers as determined by that same U. S. Constitution.

I’m sure Mr. Biden, since you were a member of the U.S. Senate for many years, and presided over the Senate Judiciary Committee when Judge Ginsburg was nominated to the Supreme Court by President Clinton, and was also vice president for eight years, that you know that “The Appointments Clause” is part of Article II, Section 2, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution, which empowers the president of the United States to nominate and, with the advice and consent (confirmation) of the United States Senate, appoint someone to a vacated seat of the SCOTUS.

So now that you’re up-to-speed Mr. Biden, I’m sure you will respect the fact that for another 122 days; roughly 4 months, which amounts to 1/12 of a 4-year term presidential term, President Trump is obligated to fulfill all his duties as a duly elected president of the United States and will be quickly nominating a person to fill the vacancy on the SCOTUS.

And one more thing Mr. Biden, even if you win the election, or if a winner isn’t decided by noon on Jan. 20, 2021, Donald J. Trump will remain president of the United States until that day and time.

The people have spoken Mr. Biden.

    Have a nice nap.
